Warminster Write-Up:
Spring Edition

—by Hillary Handy

Spring is on the horizon, and we can’t wait for all this snow to melt. Students at the school enjoyed Valentine’s Day and March Break and are now eagerly awaiting warmer weather and all the fun that entails.

XBHL is almost ready to go! Teams have been signing up and are ready to hit the pavement on newly formed ball hockey teams. This is a welcome activity for our community, and we are thrilled about all the fun that is coming our way.

Warminster Soccer is ready to roll in May. This league runs 100% on volunteers. We are thankful for the administration team and all the coaches who make this possible for our community.

In school news, our various sports teams have been up and running, and they have been a fantastic source of fun and excitement for students. It’s been great to see so many kids getting involved, building teamwork skills, and showing school spirit while staying active. From practices to games, the energy and enthusiasm have been wonderful to watch.

In addition to athletics, several students recently had the opportunity to participate in a chess tournament. They represented the school with focus, patience, and strategic thinking, demonstrating impressive problem-solving skills throughout the competition. We are proud of all the students who took part, both on the field and at the chess board, for trying new challenges and supporting one another.

School Council is hosting a Family Night at the school on April 21st. This event allows for families to connect with one another, see the happenings at the school and enjoy some interactive exhibits from Scales Nature Park.

Another event in the works is the annual Spring Vendor Market happening on May 9th from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. There are still a few spaces available for vendors. The cost is $40, along with a small donation for the upcoming Silent Auction. This event is very successful and is an awesome opportunity for small businesses to sell their wares, especially in time for Mother’s Day. A great place to shop local, and find mom the best, unique gift.

School Council is working on the end-of-the-year Community Fun Fair happening on June 4, 2026. June 5th is the PA Day following the event. Mark this date on your calendars. At this time, if any community members or small businesses have any donations for the Silent Auction, we would greatly appreciate it. Connect with me via email: hillaryhandy@gmail.com

Grade 8s continue their fundraising initiatives to support their graduation trip! Follow along on Facebook through What’s Up Warminster to see ways you can help!

More things on the horizon as we thaw and welcome spring!
