The Oro World Fair had another successful year. The weather was great. Congratulations to all of the entrants who made the fair a success. Encourage family and friends to enter next year. Thanks to all the volunteers.
The farmers are hoping for some rain to give the corn the final boost it needs.
Countryside Church enjoyed a sub Sunday in September, and games as a celebration for Rally Sunday.
Sympathy is extended to the family of Kevin McKean who lost his battle with cancer. Our thoughts are with his wife and sons, parents, and sister. Kevin served the public as a police officer for many years.
Dirk and Carrie Seis entertained German relatives at the Shellswell cottage. It was an interesting weekend as two of the party of five could not speak German and one could not speak English. The other members were excellent interpreters.
The Bell, Paddison, Shaunessy, and Clades families returned once again to the hall for family reunions.
Bid euchre continues Friday nights at 7:30 p.m. We also have a number of organizations who meet once or twice a month at the hall.
A Celebration of Life was held for Katie Sheardown at the hall. Sympathy is extended to her husband, Rick, and daughters Nikki and Maddie, and the extended family. Katie had been ill for some time.
Save the date! November 30 will be the annual Craft and Vendor Sale at the hall. Come out and do your holiday shopping!
