Summer’s Not Over Yet in Orillia & Lake Country!
The dog days of summer are here, and maybe you’ve started to run out of ideas for things to do with the kids and they’re scrolling on their phones from a permanent spot on the couch. Festivals & Events
Festivals and events continue to dominate the calendar. In Orillia, Saturday Summer Nights run every week with patios spilling out into the downtown streets. On Sundays, Music in the Park is the perfect evening entertainment at the Rotary Aqua Theatre. On August 24th, the downtown blossoms with the Rotary Downtown Classic Car Show by day, featuring nearly 400 classic and custom cars lining the streets! By night, the downtown will transform for the Starry Night Gallery & Studio Tour. This popular event under the stars showcases Orillia’s vibrant arts community!
Get ready to walk the plank as pirates raid the Port of Orillia on Labour Day Weekend. The Pirate Party takes place August 31 – September 1st with pirate themed events throughout Orillia! If you lean more into magic that looting, be sure to check out Coldwater’s Wonderful World of Witchcraft & Wizardry on August 17th! The Village’s downtown transforms into a whimsical affair of costumes, activities and magical vendors.
