Oro-Medonte Horticultural Society Update

— by David St. Amand, President

The Oro-Medonte Horticultural Society (OMHS) is the perfect spot to plant yourself this year if you enjoy gardening or just being around people who do. Whether you’re an experienced gardener, an inquisitive novice, or someone who simply enjoys lovely gardens, OMHS provides knowledge, inspiration, and a friendly group who share a common interest.

Resources Only Available to Members
Each year, members receive the annual membership card and yearbook, filled reference material on our meetings, Flower Shows, Photography Competition and other events. Eight meetings are offered annually. Every meeting includes a guest speaker who shares knowledge on subjects including ecology, design, specialist plants, and innovative methods. Members enjoy a 10% discount at participating nurseries, ideal for stocking up on annuals and perennial plants. Access to the Bloomin’ News, a quarterly newsletter filled with our Society’s stories, event updates and seasonal advice is also a membership perk. Through plants sales, civic garden maintenance, and other volunteer projects, you may contribute to the beautification of Oro-Medonte.
