Autumn in the Barn to Feature Doghouse Orchestra October 19

Autumn Concert in the Barn
at 2pm on Sunday, October 19, 2025.
The 2025 iteration of an incredibly successful 2024 fundraising event for Mariposa House Hospice features live music at the Braestone Farm by Doghouse Orchestra, an eclectic Toronto-based eight musician ensemble that masterfully blends elements of gospel, jazz, funk, and country into a vibrant, genre-defying sound.
Doghouse Orchestra has honed its craft through its regular Sunday night residency at the Cameron House, the venerable Toronto live music institution, and many other gigs and festivals throughout the province. The band is excited to announce the release of its 2025 studio album, Sunday Service: Live From The Cameron House, in spring 2025.
The proceeds of this event will directly support The Mariposa House Hospice Capital Campaign for the expansion project, increasing the capacity to 10 beds.

At Mariposa House Hospice, our goal is to “honour every moment of life”, one person at a time. We provide high quality end-of-life palliative care to those who need our support. Our service area focuses on Severn, Orillia, Oro-Medonte, Ramara, and Chippewas of Rama First Nation. Each resident receives the care and emotional support they need in a comfortable, safe, homelike environment at no cost to them. While we receive some funding from the Province of Ontario, the bulk of our operating costs come through donations and fundraising events such as the Autumn Concert.
