Gilda’s Club Simcoe Muskoka is proud to announce the return of A Sunday Afternoon, a signature summer event bringing the community together in support of individuals and families navigating cancer.

Set to take place on June 7, 2026 at a private estate in Innisfil, ON. A Sunday Afternoon offers an uplifting and memorable experience filled with live music, delicious food, local beverages, and meaningful connection—all in support of free cancer support programs offered by Gilda’s Club Simcoe Muskoka.

This year’s event will feature a special performance by the Matthew Good Acoustic Trio, led by acclaimed Canadian artist Matthew Good. Known for his raw lyricism and emotional depth, Good brings a deeply personal connection to the stage. Having experienced his father’s journey with cancer, his music often reflects themes of resilience, loss, and the importance of human connection—making this performance especially meaningful for the Gilda’s Club community.

“Events like A Sunday Afternoon are about more than just coming together—they are about reminding people that support and community are always within reach,” said Danielle Parks-Hamer, Communications Manager. “Every ticket purchased helps us continue to expand our programming and reach more people who need us.”

Recognizing that many individuals are balancing careers, caregiving, and daily responsibilities, the organization is introducing more flexible, accessible support options—including evening and virtual programs, family-focused activities, and targeted support groups. This growth ensures that people can access meaningful emotional and social support in ways that fit their lives, reinforcing Gilda’s Club’s commitment to meeting the evolving needs of the community and ensuring that no one has to face cancer alone.
