Orillia Naturalists’ Club announce 2024-2025 Programming

The Orillia Naturalists’ Club is excited to unveil its 2024-2025 program, welcoming nature lovers of all ages to join us for a dynamic series of meetings, outings, and activities. Our diverse program offers something for everyone, from wildlife enthusiasts to those passionate about conservation. Meetings are open to the public, with most sessions available both in person at the Orillia Museum of Art & History and via Zoom. A few meetings during the winter months will be Zoom-only.

Meeting Topics Include:

  • MOTUS Towers – Learn about bird and bat tracking technology.
  • Ontario Turtles – Discover the species that call Ontario home.
  • Introduction to Owls – An exploration of these fascinating nocturnal birds.
  • Algonquin Park Research – Insights from one of Ontario’s most iconic parks.
  • What Do Insects Do in the Winter? – A look into the survival strategies of insects.
  • Reflecting on Bird-Building Collisions – FLAP Canada shares ways to prevent avian injuries.
  • Bears – All you need to know about bears in Ontario.

All speakers are experts in their fields, ensuring engaging and informative experiences at every meeting.

Membership is just $20 for individuals and $30 for families, with free membership for those under 30. We encourage all attendees to consider becoming members to support our programs and conservation efforts.
