Outdoor Public Access SaveStations Available in Six Township Parks

With generous support, partnership, dedication, and commitment from the Oro-Medonte community, five (5) SaveStations that house an AED (automated external defibrillator), available 24/7 were recently installed in Bayview Memorial, Danny McHugh, Shanty Bay, Shelswell, and Sweetwater Parks in Oro-Medonte. These installations are in addition to the SaveStation installed in 2021 at Horseshoe Valley Memorial Park.

Each outdoor SaveStation features a weatherproof AED cabinet that provides real-time feedback on the device’s ready-for-use status, as well as a climate-controlled environment and backlighting. Upon cabinet opening, a visual and audible alert will sound, a camera will begin taking photos, and emergency services will be alerted.
